Five new cases of black fungus (mucormycosis) have been detected in Bhopal. Mucormycosis patients were admitted to Hamidia Hospital on Monday. According to authorities, the state capital has about 150 such cases. Mucormycosis is a fungal infection that causes blackening or discolouration over the nose, blurred or double vision, chest pain, breathing difficulties and coughing blood. It is mostly found among recovering and recovered Covid-19 patients.
